A spell for more time

Hi,

has anybody a goid spell for more time? I feel chased all the time, by job deadlines, due bills (at the moment quite a few large ones, and all of them unexpected), feeling I don't have enough time getzing healthy and fit again.... I want to relax again, at least from time to time.

  • You can't necessarily get more time there is only 24 hours in a day, right?  What you can do is just what Oriel said.  I take a bottle of water or hot tea, my inhaler(security blanket)and a good book to read.  I also light a candle and some incense, it depends on which one I light, with my mood.  YES, I know I just said that backward.  I wash, sit back with my eyes closed and relax, try to meditate even for a few minutes.  It doesn't always work.  BUT, I can always immerse myself in a good book, so that is what I do.  If you can escape for a few moments a day it helps.  If you can't do it daily, then do it when you can.  Watch a funny sitcom, get your mind off everything for a bit. 

       Next, you have all this work, stop looking at the big picture, that always freaks you out, hey it freaks me out.  Start out a step at a time, Do the first step, then the next, and the next and so on.  Make a list you can check off the steps as you do them, it makes you feel like you are making progress that way.

    • Thank you! These are all things that I am already doing, but my life seems like a constant struggle. Anyway, I have two kids and a dog whom I love so much, so I go on for them. I have no choice anyway and I'm stubborn, but with the years I have clearly come to the conclusion that life is no fun. And yes, there are people who are way worse than me, but what does mean? That you are lucky not to be THAT miserable? Oh my....Grin.gif

      Okay, so no fabulous spell for me ...;-), okay, then on with the fight!

    • Maybe Emma, if life feels like if it's no fun, (it's hard to imagine no fun with two little ones and a dog), that maybe it's your attitude, towards what your doing. I know that life can be soo busy and soo hectic wtih little ones, but if you will watch some videos on how to make life fun, watch movies and shows that make you laugh, make the kids laugh, relax while watching, and a routine is important but changing it sometimes helps, especially on the weekend, and some "you" time, doing something that you like and demanding the kids to play elsewhere without them bothering you while you do it, or even a nap, then life might be more enjoyable. Children are a blessing but hard at the same time so that can cause depression. Maybe some gemstones for stress, I recommend round stones, like the bracelets quartz. Rose Quarts is good if you need to feel love, and also quartz crystal if you need to feel grounded, if life feels too much for you. I "needed" that when my kids were younger, I wore them faithfully, and maybe also some Saint John's Wort. That helped me soo much when I was going through a period of feeling overwhelmed but depressed at the same time. My life was no fun just overwhelming with a million thoughts of responsibility and I felt so undgrounded. The bottle said take like three at a time or something but I only needed one and about a week later or so I was ok again. Also, chamomile tea is really good for disarming any bad energy and also gets rid of depression. I've been there. I also had to do some work on my attitude and my thoughts. I would catch myself at the sink doing dishes with running thoughts of not very nice things. I had to retrain my thinking. When I caught myself in those thoughts, I rebuked them, and made myself think of something nice and it worked Emma. I hope some of these tips work for you. You can get the Saint John's Wort at Walmart, it's cheap, like five dollars for a large bottle, the chamomile tea in the tea section at the grocery store and I use to get my rose quarts bracelets and clear quartz bracelets at the Brass Unicorn where I get my magickal supplies from. They are running about seven to ten dollars a piece right now. You should wear the bracelets on your receiving arm, the left arm if your right handed so you receive. Also it's good to wash them and then set them under the moonlight for a few hours every other night. You can also get candles from the dollar tree to help the house stay warm and friendly. My favorites are cinnamon, and vanilla.

      One more thing. Positive affirmations in the morning or when things are getting hectic or you feel down. Stand in front of the mirror, and say, "I am beautiful, I have children that I love and "I am worthy of it all".  You are loved Emma :)) Sometimes we just get too burdened and these things all helped me. You might find some other positive affirmatins but to say nice things really works :)) Man they do. When I first heard of saying affirmations out loud I thought "that sounds stupid" and I didn't believe it, but then I tried it and it's powerful. Just to say out loud, I am loved, my children love me is soo powerful :))

    • Thank you for your valuable advice :). I think you misunderstood me a bit, however. First, I'm not overwhelmed with having two little kids, my boys are 19 and 16,5, I simply said I love them so much so I keep going and working hours on end to be able to raise the money for our high expenses right now. But that is overwhelming, the much work and not being in the best shape health-wise. I'm also not depressed, but fed up. And I know the difference, trust me ;-) It is really like I said, I wished I had more time so the days are not so stressful.

      I have two large cupboards full of herbs and supplements because I'm a herbalist by passion, and yes, you are right, there are a lot of good herbs and supplements out there for keeping the stress at bay, but my goal is to have less stress and not bearing that mass of stress by means of herbs (which helps of course, no doubt, and is useful at times, but not constantly.)

      I have come a long way and I can gladly say I'm a different person than I was say 5 years ago, due to meditation, mindfulness, re-training the mind, but sometimes you just want to say "Fu...!!" because it is just too much. This too shall pass, though, without any doubt. I just thought you really have some time spell for me ;-)

       

    • Ok, I did think you had some little ones. That's the only advise I had because my stress was when the kids were smaller. I had a lot on my plate. It sounds like you do right now. Maybe just a petition asking for time in your life to more things that you enjoy without losing your job? lol. I would definately be wearing some gemstones or having some in my pocket that deal with stress and help stress while looking for ways to have more time for yourself.

      I guess, I won't lose my job, I'm a freelance translator and always have more than enough work, for which I am thankful right now with all these bills.

    • a green candle with some jezebel root or high john root(hoodoo)can help a bit with bills.  It's not meant for getting rich, just for getting by.

       

    • thanks, I'll keep that in mind :) Again, time is the problem. I have enough work to get the money, but it takes a little until I get it and some of the work is not finished so far, so...time is the issue. (BTW: I have a really good speel for money, but I'll try that if needs be someday.)

    • Helela, why do you think I play music loudly when I do dishes?  lol  It keeps me from thinking the dark thoughts, or any thoughts for a bit. I also do it when I clean, and sometimes I get silly and dance, and my daughter joines me.
