But none the less we ALL have them and there is a great need to deal with
the “shadow” or rather negative aspects of self before one can move on to detoxify ourselves from the
poisonous programs that we have knowingly or unknowingly allowed to penetrate our lives.
Furthermore begin reaching outward and inward for truth and knowledge that is waiting for us on our
journey forward as we take control and become truly sovereign beings. Thereby realizing that we are
all deeply connected through the power of the universe that is part and parcel of all that is. Some may
call this the Goddess/God Chi or prana, it could simply be called “LIFE”!

To begin with we all could use helpful and positive habits or routines to break the chain of demeaning
self talk and vibration lowering actions. Everyone makes mistakes and most everyone self chastises
themselves afterwords.

EXAMPLE: While unloading the dishwasher a favorite coffee cup is dropped. One might instantaneously
shout a phrase like “damn it” or “oh, shit’ neither is helpful and actually brings in the opportunity for
even more negative self talk. Like...
“I should’ve known better than to unload the dishwasher while the dishes are still hot or damp!” Or it
could even become more negative...
“I’m such a klutz!” Or just “I can’t seem to do anything right today!”

This negative self talk can only make things worse and perpetuates more of the same. But keep in mind
that most everyone does this from time to time so don’t beat yourself up even more about it. There are
some simple techniques that one can easily use to counter act this and bring more light, love and clarity
to any situation.

The first part of this course will help to identify the times when we are most likely to react negatively,
and go into more detail about what can be done to help counteract and even prevent us from any
negative self talk in the future.

This course will involve written material, group chat and one on one chat, here on location.
The second part of the course will involve instruction on the techniques needed to deal with negative
energy that may have inadvertently been implanted into the shadow self via negative input of family,
parents, teachers, society or even clergy while growing up and the way that each one has dealt with or
reacted to the input from others.

The third portion will deal with actually integrating the positive techniques to counteract the negativity
as well as some energetic healing that I will offer via reiki attunements and light language codes that will
smooth the path ahead making it a bit easier to transmute anything dark, negative or unhealthy into
something more useful to our individual path. Furthermore to integrate knowledge that it takes time,
effort, unconditional love and forgiveness of self as well as others to accomplish any goal of self
awareness and connection to the truest soul self.

I’m looking forward to meeting and working with all who feel drawn to this course.
Sincerely; Priestess Maighread Birdsong

How to keep your magical shit togetherhttps://witches-moon.ning.com/blogs/how-to-keep-your-magical-shit-together2022-06-07T05:20:02.000Z2022-06-07T05:20:02.000ZDancingfingershttps://witches-moon.ning.com/members/Dancingfingers

https://www.sagegoddess.com/uncategorized/how-to-keep-your-magical-shit-together

How to keep your magical shit together

Let me preface this post by saying it may be my most important blog post ever – and that’s saying something! It is also the number one issue I hear people talking about, the number one problem most of my clients are facing, and frankly, it’s also my daily struggle: How to keep your shit together as a graceful Warrior of Light in a world that seems to enjoy drama and trauma. It’s a daily decision not to “go low” but to aim your energetic bow higher, releasing only arrows of beauty into what can seem like a sea of darkness. Except it isn’t a decision, really. What choice do you have if you came into this life to make this world a better place? Embodying compassion is a commitment and it requires discipline.

As you get older, you realize that the world is full of hurting people, and just because you are in pain too doesn’t mean you get to be a pain. When trauma happens, as it does to all beings, you have a choice to make: You either use the trauma to fuel a new approach to life and reorient yourself toward healing and happiness, or you submit to the trauma and use it as an excuse to sling your sorrows outward, at others. And doing so might make you feel better for a few minutes. But it is never okay to willfully hurt another human being, no matter how justified you feel. The pain buck has to stop with you, sweet one. No more projecting your crap onto the world around you. You’re too grown up and magical for that.

So how then do you interact lovingly, with compassion, in a world that often mirrors back to you just the opposite? Here are my five strategies to help you find peace in a peaceless world:

1) Decide you are going to love mean people anyway

People are human; you can either resent them for it, or love them in spite of it. When you see expressions of trauma – which in muggle terms looks like mean people wounding others, tearing them down, critiquing them without cause, or judging others they don’t know – open your heart wider and recognize that you’re looking at a wounded soul, someone’s child, and they need love – not more judgment in return – to heal. Can you be the one who will love them anyway? Remember that many people have not had a source of unconditional love for a long time. Maybe their parents were cold and undemonstrative or died at a young age. Maybe their husband, wife, or partner doesn’t hold, kiss, or touch them anymore and they are starving for human affection. I’m not excusing poor behavior, but I am explaining it as clearly as I can because the more you know, the more you understand, and the less you react.

2) Make your life into a sanctuary, an oasis

Be the oasis you need in your life, and in turn, be an oasis for others. What do I mean by oasis? A space to breathe, be, expand, and become. Decide that people in your life will be offered the liberation, space, and love they need to become their fullest self and that if they project onto you or cannot return that love in some way, you will continue to stand firmly in your own space of love and compassion. Let nothing dim your light, and let no one dissuade you from bringing more love into the world right now. Light your little candle, and let it shine for the world to see.

3) Teach love by example

How you live your life matters; your children are watching you and learning. Your friends and loved ones, but even those who do not know you personally, see the lived example you create. Are your words and actions resonant with your values and mission to love? If not, that’s ok. Use that awareness as an opportunity to get more deeply connected to your central mission and purpose. And know that sometimes, because you are human, you won’t want to embody love. You’ll be pissed off, hungry, sad, confused, or just tired. Love yourself enough in those moments to have compassion for you, too. As the Buddhists say, if your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete. Every time you divert, however, consciously return to love.

4) Get honest with yourself on every level

Truth heals, and lies destroy. If you cannot be honest with yourself, who can you be honest with? I always say, no one is more critical of me than me. I am so hard on myself! But I am honest too and I also love myself when I see myself growing, evolving, and becoming a person I am proud to be. I have spent the last year in particular really honing my relationship with myself and my own inner truth. On every single level, my life is aligned. It’s not perfect, but nothing is inconsistent: My thoughts, my actions, my relationships, my experiences, my words, my work, my body, my emotions, my energy – it’s all vibrating in accord with the fullness of my soul. If you can’t say the same, start there! Get real with yourself. It’s never too late. Your transformation really does begin the moment you get tired of your bullshit.

5) Ask yourself in every moment, what does love look like here?

When someone yells at you in traffic, what does love look like there? When your child gets bullied by the child of someone you know, what does love look like there? In every moment, love can be invited into the space. You might find that what love looks like seems too generous, too open, too risky and vulnerable. But I’ll say this to you: Who cares? Can you really be too loving or too kind? Can you really be too forgiving? I don’t think so. I believe all the angels in heaven sing when we make a conscious choice to look hatred or fear in the face and show it an expression of love. Doing so makes you a powerhouse warrior goddess queen in my book! I hope you can hear me cheering you on when you do something as brave as speaking love into a dark space. When you stand up for someone else and anchor your truth, that makes me squeal too. I see you doing that hard work.

These are just my tips, based on my experiences, but they are also offered at a time when they are needed most. By following them you will raise your personal energetic frequency and come into powerful alignment with all you seek, in an effortless way. But don’t manifest love to get something in return; manifest love because you are ready to stop reincarnating into lives of difficulty. You’re ready now to ascend to a new level of conscious awareness and a literal garden of pleasures awaits you there. I’ll be there waiting, too. Amen, A’ho, and So it is.

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

Are you ready to manifest your deepest desires? Every sign is blessed with specific personality traits that help them overcome pain, disappointment, betrayal, and loss. Some signs heal differently than others, but each sign has special abilities they can call upon to help foster greater resiliency

Fire Signs
The fire signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius all share an inner drive that motivates them to focus on the positive parts of life. They have a desire to feel alive and move forward towards new and exciting goals. They like action and movement, so they often distract themselves by keeping busy and focusing on activities outside themselves. They need social experiences and people around them to heal. Getting connected to their emotions and inner world is an important part of the healing process for them.

Arians are impulsive, passionate, and driven. Being the first sign of the zodiac makes them focused on getting their own needs met first. Arians heal by acting on their gut instincts and being physically active. They like doing things on their own because they are self-reliant. When Arians are struggling many people close to them would never even know. They heal by opening up and allowing themselves to be vulnerable with those they trust. Overcoming the tendency to do everything on their own and controlling self-centered behaviors helps them heal. Other people can be supportive and provide a listening ear, give wise advice, and help encourage Aries. Focusing more on others, accepting support and developing stronger relationship bonds help Aries heal faster than if they charged ahead on their own.

Leos are social, affectionate, and charming. They crave attention and need other people in their lives. Leos heal by accepting their gifts without a need for praise from the outside world. Being recognized is nice, but Leo's benefit by allowing those around them to be recognized for their creativity, achievements, and abilities as well. They don't have to always be in the limelight. When Leos learn that they can shine on their own without the need for acceptance from others they will heal. Leos need to feel loved and enjoy romance more than any other sign. Leos have the heart of a child and like excitement, passion, and fun in relationships but struggle with commitment. When Leos put effort into maintaining relationships after the excitement, romance, and emotional highs wear off, they will heal difficulties experienced with maintaining friendships and intimate partnerships.

Sagittarians are one of the most optimistic signs. They have a natural ability to encourage others to see the silver lining in the worst situations. But when it comes to their own lives, they heal by being outdoors, traveling, and having the freedom to do what they want. Physical activity, mental movement, and adventure are healing for Sagittarians. They are typically happy, upbeat, and positive, but sometimes they can be impacted by challenging life situations. When this happens, they overcome and heal by experiencing gratitude and appreciating the blessings in their life. They overcome negative feelings and heal faster than most signs.

Air Signs
The air signs Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini all handle emotional difficulties by analyzing things and mentally picking apart their emotions. They are excellent at communicating and giving others advice but find it challenging to get in touch with their own inner feelings. Air signs are intellectual and are often naturally detached from emotions. They are more comfortable with facts, knowledge, and ideas.

Libras are natural peacemakers and dislike conflict. Healing comes for Libras when they learn to put themselves first instead of catering to the needs of others. Addressing conflict head-on and not hiding unpleasant feelings from those they care about helps them on their healing journey. Naturally diplomatic, Librans always see both sides of an issue. They become confused and find it hard to make decisions, especially without the input of others. Librans heal when they become more balanced mentally, emotionally, and physically. Achieving greater equilibrium helps them feel more grounded and enables them to make better decisions. Relationships help Librans heal because they value partnership and companionship. Librans heal when they begin to rely on themselves and realize they can do things on their own without a partner to guide them.

Aquarians are humanitarians, intelligent, and non-traditional. They enjoy challenging the rules and expectations of society. Shocking others and being unique and different can help them heal. Free-spirited, they dislike feeling tied down to others' expectations and traditions. Aquarians heal when they can connect to deeper feelings. Thoughts come easily for them, but not all problems can be solved with the mind. Overcoming detachment will help them heal relationships and show others they are not cold, unemotional or aloof. Serving a higher purpose, developing friendships, and being a part of groups helps Aquarians heal.

Geminis heal when they can learn to slow down and stabilize their restless energy. Taking a deep breath, sitting still, and quieting their minds creates an environment where they can get in touch with their inner feelings. They get distracted by the chatter of their mind and racing thoughts. Mentally, there is no other sign that can keep up with Gemini's stamina. Highly intelligent, they are natural communicators but find it difficult to talk about deeper subjects. Geminis heal by overcoming boredom and controlling the need to change direction without warning. Other people in their lives can become frustrated and feel that Geminis are unreliable. Healing relationships helps them feel less lonely. Social at heart, they need a variety of people around and dislike being alone. Finding stability and allowing themselves to express unpleasant emotions with trusted friends encourages healing.

Earth Signs
The earth signs Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus are hardworking and achievement-oriented signs. Always striving to attain success, they are focused on their goals and there is only one thing that can get in their way and that's unstable life situations. Being forced to do something, feeling caught off guard, and instability makes them experience emotions that can be challenging. The earth signs need to feel grounded, protected, and safe. Change is difficult for them and they crave practical advice, productive outcomes, and realistic solutions to life's problems.

Virgos heal when they start taking care of themselves and stop sacrificing their own needs to help others. Overcoming difficulties with telling people that they don't want to do something helps them heal. They love to be of service, and feel their best when sacrificing their time to provide practical support to anyone in need. The problem is that Virgos lack the ability to self-care due to a selfless nature. This personality trait can lead to burnout and compassion fatigue. Self-care is extremely important for Virgos, and spending time alone is critical for them to recharge their giving energy. Finding ways to relax, overcoming worry and anxious feelings, and experiencing solitude all help inspire greater healing.

Capricorns are success-oriented and achievement-focused. Working hard comes naturally, but relaxing or doing nothing is challenging. Capricorns heal when they get in touch with their emotional needs. Taking breaks helps them manage stress. Being extremely responsible from a young age, they have high expectations and take on too much. They have the material world figured out, but experiencing feelings can be difficult for them to accept. Repressing feelings and refusing to allow themselves to fully feel pain, loss, and grief blocks healing. Capricorns push forward distracting themselves with work, hobbies, and future goals. Focusing on work and their career is a way they avoid dealing with their problems. Capricorns need to learn to balance family time and work commitments. Getting away from responsibilities and taking family vacations are ways they can heal and recharge. Releasing their need to control others and controlling their own emotions will help them relax and heal.

Taureans are sensual, strong-willed, and comfort-loving. They heal by becoming more open-minded and less rigid. Taureans dislike loud noises, being rushed, or being forced to make decisions too quickly. Slow and steady is their motto. They heal when they allow the unexpected into their lives without resisting it. Change can actually pull them out of the rut they often find themselves in. Using food to cope with unpleasant feelings can affect their health. Clinging to the past, refusing to forgive, and not letting go prevent healing. Releasing material or emotional things helps them heal. Taureans dislike change more than any sign, but taking risks is good for them. They value security and stability. Practicing self-care activities that connect to their senses can accelerate healing. Aromatherapy, candles, neck massages, gardening, and walking in nature can all bring peace. Calm and grounded at heart, Taureans heal when they love, value, and accept themselves.

Water Signs
The water signs Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio are known to be sensitive, emotional, and in touch with their feelings. Connected to the emotional undercurrents in the environment and natural empathic abilities enable them to absorb the emotions of others. The water signs need to implement self-care activities regularly. They heal by helping others and supporting their emotional needs. They are more in touch with their own emotions and benefit by learning to more grounded and practical.

Pisceans are the dreamers, mystics, and spiritual seekers of the zodiac. They heal by connecting to their creativity through art, music, and their vivid imagination. It is important for Pisceans to have a spiritual path. Finding a connection with a higher power helps them heal. Realizing they are a soul who is here for a specific purpose helps them overcome tragedy. Compassionately serving others comes naturally for them, but they also need to learn to help themselves. Developing strong boundaries and balancing an extremely giving nature helps them heal. Getting enough rest and sleep helps them overcome emotional depletion. Spending time alone and being able to withdraw from the world is one of the most helpful self-care tools for Pisceans.

Cancerians use their natural shell to protect their soft, vulnerable, and sensitive interior. Trusting others and allowing themselves to be more open with family and friends helps them overcome difficult life situations. Withdrawing and isolating themselves from the world are ways they avoid stress. Cancerians like to hide in the comfort of their own home, but it's important for them to go out into the world to serve. They feel things deeply and are known to be sensitive. Many Cancerians get their feelings hurt easily. Healing the past, especially childhood issues, help them heal and move forward as a stronger person. Nurturing themselves just as much as they nurture others will increase healing and help them balance their emotions. Cancerians are the emotional worriers of the zodiac and fret over those they care about. When they love you, they are known to smother and are overprotective. They heal when they trust others and the let go of their need to do everything for everyone else, especially their family.

Healing and transformation are associated with the zodiac sign Scorpio. Scorpios are known to be powerful, strong, and resilient people. They can struggle with loneliness by refusing to trust others. Scorpios repress feelings and even hide them in secret from those they care about. They do not want to appear weak and will work hard to portray a hard exterior. As a water sign, they are probably the deepest and most emotional zodiac sign. They are good at camouflaging feelings by cutting them off completely. Eventually their wounds will be triggered and they will need to heal unpleasant memories. Scorpios heal when they realize that it is not a weakness to show vulnerability—it's a strength.

All twelve signs are born with natural healing abilities. Tapping into core strengths helps each sun sign focus on what they do best. Connecting with their personality traits and utilizing these skills encourages healing. Healing our deepest wounds and past experiences transforms us and makes us more resilient. No matter how difficult life becomes, each of us can tap into our personality strengths and practically utilize them in our daily lives.

Source: https://www.llewellyn.com/journal/article/3012?utm_source=astroup0422&utm_medium

The 4 Dark Night of The Soul Stageshttps://witches-moon.ning.com/blogs/the-4-dark-night-of-the-soul-stages2022-02-18T07:44:12.000Z2022-02-18T07:44:12.000ZDancingfingershttps://witches-moon.ning.com/members/Dancingfingers

The dark night of the soul is one of the most transformative experiences you can have.

The language of cosmic balance stems from each one of our own spiritual balance, which can be briefed as the effect of yin and yang stability. Yin and Yang are the foundation of the life force, which crystal users harness, control and direct for healing, health, and magic.

What are Yin and Yang Energy

Described as the two halves of Life Force, Yin and Yang symbolize Female and Male energies in nature. Each of us is born with a definite aura and energy that resounds the aura. It is not based on our gender as we all are a mix of yin and yang.

The balance of life is attained when a person can balance both the opposing energies equally. For example, craving for love can be summarized as a pillar of the Reintegration System. Being a female, if I look for a man who is strong or protective, I am actually looking for the masculine qualities of protection and safety. Hence, it is not a strong man that I need but a strong self and integration of the lost yang qualities!

Benefits of Yin and Yang Balance in Life

Balancing the opposing energies against our natural habits is one of the toughest ordeals to cross. However, if you know how the ideal balance of Yin and Yang affects our lives, you might understand its pivotal importance too!

Millions have watched this scene on YouTube, with many leaving heartfelt comments. “Great sense of solidarity,” says one. “There is hope,” says another.

The viewers are responding to what many interpret as empathy — a sign that even in the animal world, life isn’t just dog-eat-dog.

Consider it a cautionary tale for our times, in which politicians urge us to cultivate more empathy, and scientists churn out volumes of work on the subject, with more than 2,000 published papers in 2019 alone. For all its popularity, empathy isn’t nearly as simple as so many blogs and books make it seem. Researchers can’t even agree on what empathy means: One paper noted 43 different definitions, ranging from basic shared emotions to more lofty mixtures of concern and kindness.

Whatever definition we choose, do we really need more empathy? We checked in with several experts to help elucidate this surprisingly elusive concept. Here are the five top take-aways:

Empathy is primitive

Evidence of the most basic sort of empathy — “emotional contagion,” or the sharing of another being’s emotions — has been found in many species, suggesting it’s innate in humans.

“We are biologically programmed to have empathy. It’s something we can’t suppress,” says Frans de Waal, a primatologist at Emory University in Atlanta.

Clues about empathy’s mechanisms emerged in the early 1990s, when Italian neuroscientists studying macaque monkeys discovered a class of brain cells that fired both when the monkeys moved and when they observed another monkey in motion. De Waal and other experts propose that these monkey-see, monkey-do “mirror neurons” may be part of the cellular basis of shared feelings.

Abundant evidence exists for “emotional contagion” in animals. Rats that watch other rats suffer electric shocks show their shared fear by freezing in place. Rats will even avoid pressing a lever dispensing a sugar pellet if it means another rat won’t get shocked, in what scientists suggest is an effort to avoid that shared fear and pain. That vicarious sense of pain is evident in humans as well: Even newborn infants will cry reflexively on hearing another infant cry.

Empathy evolved because of all the ways it served our ancestors, de Waal argued in an article on the evolution of empathy in the 2008 Annual Review of Psychology. The ability to feel others’ feelings helps parents be more sensitive to the needs of their children, increasing the chance that their genes will endure. This basic sort of empathy also inspires us to take care of friends and relatives, encouraging cooperation that helps our tribe survive.

But empathy isn't automatic

Despite its deep and ancient roots, the quality of human empathy can vary, depending on the context. Some studies have suggested that we get less skillful at empathy as adulthood progresses, note the German psychologists Michaela Riediger and Elisabeth Blanke in the 2020 Annual Review of Developmental Psychology.

That may be because empathy demands cognitive skills such as paying attention, processing information and holding that information in memory, all resources that usually become scarcer with age. Older adults can perform equally well in those skills, however, when a topic of conversation is more relevant or pleasant for them — in other words, when they care more.

In a 2013 study, researchers in Hong Kong tested 49 younger people (ages 15 to 28) and 49 older people (ages 60 to 83) on their ability to read expressions of emotions on other people’s faces. The younger participants, as expected, were more skillful overall, but the older ones caught up if they were told in advance that the people they were observing “share a lot of common interests with you.”

The nature of empathy also appears to have changed throughout human history. Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker argues that empathy has expanded over the past several centuries, due to trends such as increasing literacy and global commerce that make people more interdependent.

But other scientists contend that empathy has been waning among young people in recent years. In a 2010 study, Sara Konrath, then a researcher at the University of Michigan, compared students’ responses spanning three decades with statements expressing empathy, such as “I often have tender, concerned feelings for people less fortunate than me.” Students’ scores on a measure of empathy called empathic concern declined between 1979 and 2009, with the steepest drop after the year 2000, she found. Other researchers reported a similar trend in 2012.

Even today, Konrath says she knows of no research that has pinned down the reasons for this apparent shift. She suspects that one reason might be simple “burnout” because of new pressures on young people, such as increasing income inequality, greater economic competition and sharply increasing college tuition rates.

“When I’ve talked to college students about this, they tell me I’ve got it right,” she says. “These pressures are crowding out their focus on their ability to care for others, because they’re just too focused on trying to make it.”

Empathy is often selfish

Declining modern rates of empathy are often cited by those complaining about the alleged selfishness of millennials, whom one writer dubbed the “Me Me Me generation.” Yet empathy itself tends to be selfish. It’s usually directed toward those we care about the most — reflecting those evolutionary drives to care for children, relatives and others similar to ourselves.

Researchers have illustrated this point by studying contagious yawning in humans, which occurs at a much higher rate in response to kin than to strangers. (Another blow to tortoises: They don’t catch yawns at all.)

In our polarized times, the innate drive to empathize more with one’s in-group may worsen political divisions. In a 2019 study, a team of U.S. researchers randomly assigned 1,232 people to read one of two versions of an article describing a college campus protest against an inflammatory political speech. In both versions, the protest turns violent and police are called, but in one version the speaker is criticizing Democrats while in the other the target is Republicans. The subjects were more likely to want to stop the speech when the speaker was attacking their own party — but only if the subjects scored high on a measure of empathy.

Empathy can be learned

Despite the controversies over empathy, most people say they want to be more empathetic, says Jamil Zaki, a psychologist at Stanford University. The good news is that they can be. The first step is believing that empathy is a skill that can be improved. People who believe they can “grow” their empathy, Zaki has found, will spend more effort expending empathy in challenging situations. Other researchers have found that a meditation practice can also help enhance empathy, or at least improve people’s accuracy at reading emotions from facial expressions.

Through the years, studies have found that readers of fiction tend to be more skilled in empathy. In a 2009 study, researchers showed that people exposed to fiction performed better on an empathy test. The idea is that reading about other people helps us extend empathy to a wider circle.

There’s even an app for that.

Konrath helped design a free one called Random App of Kindness (RAKi) to help teach empathy. It offers games in which players help characters through an interconnected journey, with each game providing a way to practice basic forms of empathy, such as identifying emotions on other peoples’ faces and reading the signals of crying babies.

Empathy only goes so far

In its simplest form, as emotional contagion, empathy may fail to lead to altruistic action, because altruism often demands some sort of sacrifice, argues Jesse Prinz, a philosopher at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

“When I ask my students, how many of you have given money to a homeless person, every hand goes up,” he says. “But when I ask, how many of you have crossed the street to do so, or if you see someone who isn’t squarely in your path? There will often be no hands at all.”

Prinz wants to see more work on understanding what he says are more powerful moral drivers, such as anger, disgust, contempt, guilt, the joy in helping others, and solidarity, the sense of agreement among people with a common interest. Amid today’s renewed concern about racial justice, it’s less helpful for a White person to tell a Black person: “I feel your pain,” than to say something like: “I can’t imagine what it’s like to be you. I see what’s happening and will not stand for it,” Prinz says.

“Empathy just doesn’t get people out in the streets,” he says. “I’m in favor of the full emotional arsenal.”

often times accidents become huge discoveries, mistakes turn to master pieces.

worrying of change often comes from the comfortableness of content or going/sticking with what you know for it generates a safety zone, the other part is often a fear of letting go thinking you will lose something or the next thing wont be great.

i think it is just the way of parenthood. children stress parents out parents stress children out. i think it is possibly a factor that we feel we have to do or be a certain way so it generates that form of stress

lying is protection, protection is one with a fear. if you fear not to lose, or fear what might happen what are you protecting what are lying for.

i think when we get get to enraptured into needing more, which becomes stressful. when you look at like the Montana person living off the land they seem more peaceful.
If drinking warm milk before bed sounds like the kind of advice you might hear from your grandma—well, it turns out grandma knows best again! Drinking heated creamy beverages before bed has been practiced for centuries and has helped people all over the world drift off into a restful sleep. It is also commonly recommended by Ayurvedic practitioners to calm fiery doshas and to help balance the body before bed. Nowadays, these magical cups of comfort are often referred to as moon milks and incorporate herbs and spices to help assist the body in relaxation.

Here are three tasty ways to try moon milk for yourself. We hope they help you have the sweetest of dreams!

Adaptogenic Moon Milk

Makes 8 ounces.

This recipe incorporates adaptogenic herbs that help the body handle the stresses of the day. Ashwagandha and chaga mushroom have earned a celebrated reputation for helping to quiet the minds and revitalize the bodies of those who find themselves juggling more things than they can handle. This blend is a unique and tasty way to work more adaptogens into your routine.

Ingredients

Tulsi Moon Milk

Makes 8 ounces.

This earthy milk has a lovely herbal flavor and a bit of tang that is perfectly complemented by the mellow sweetness of coconut.
Calming Kava Rose Moon Milk

Makes 8 ounces

Combining the self-love aspects of vanilla and rose with the stress reducing effects of kava* makes for an ideal blend for disconnecting from the outside world and reflecting inward. Keep in mind that many people experience slight numbing and tingling when consuming, so don't be surprised if it makes your mouth tingle a bit, but I’ve balanced the blend so the sensation won’t be too overpowering.

Ingredients

8-9 oz. of milk or milk alternative

16 organic rose buds

Add kava kava and vanilla powders, cocoa butter wafer, and honey.

Blend on high for about 30 seconds or until nice and frothy.

Pour whipped milk in your favorite mug and garnish with a pinch of rose powder.

Pro Tips:

Start with 9 ounces of milk, since some of the milk will evaporate off. This way, you’ll end up with a full 8-ounce glass.

Contrary to popular belief, the Divine Feminine isn’t limited only to females.

The Divine Feminine is an energy that we all possess, no matter where we are on the gender spectrum (or lack thereof). Therefore, this article is for everyone who is interested in creating more inner balance – and shining that out into the world.

As our planet is cast into the horrors of environmental destruction and demise, it is clear that there is an excess of masculine energy.

As a force that is responsible for organizing, ruling, fighting, building, and dominating, masculine energy is certainly useful – but only up until a certain point.

It is now time for the rise of the Divine Feminine. But not just in females (although women certainly have an easier time accessing it), but in all beings.

For our society, for this very planet, to survive, we desperately need to cultivate feminine energies within us, before it’s too late.

What is the Divine Feminine?

The Divine Feminine is a form of energy that all beings possess. It is known by many names such as shakti, yin, and lunar energy, and is often connected symbolically with the moon, Gaia (Mother Earth), and water. Just like the Divine Masculine, it is ‘one half’ of the Spirit of Life. Both the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine arise mutually, and in their most natural state, work together effortlessly and harmoniously.

Why Masculine Energy is Destroying the Planet

When the Masculine and Feminine are out of balance, the natural result is chaos. So why is masculine energy destroying the planet? To answer this question, let’s briefly wind back time.

As an active force, the Divine Masculine is responsible for progress and evolution. Unlike feminine energy, it gets sh*t done in an efficient and orderly manner. As the nature of life is growth and change, we need that force, and we have needed it since the dawn of time.

But the shadow side of the Divine Masculine is its preoccupation with power. When masculine energy becomes corrupt, it results in the toxic patriarchal society we see today that is based on a foundational philosophy of “get, reject, use, and dominate.” The consequence is a world full of racial, sexual, and religious intolerance; gender inequality; unrestrained materialism resulting in large-scale environmental decimation; raping and pillaging of the earth resulting in climate change that leads to huge natural disasters and social collapse … you name it.

Why has Divine Masculine energy “entered the dark side”? There are numerous theories, but mine is that Divine Masculine energy is, in essence, immature. It hasn’t ripened and is therefore like a wayward, nihilistic teenager still trying to figure out the ropes.

If all of life is a process of growth, of maturation, Divine Masculine energy still hasn’t evolved to its fullest potential. It’s still an awkward, self-conscious, and insecure force that has come to believe (like a naive child) that power comes from overshadowing others. But it doesn’t. What it has failed to learn up until now is that true power comes from within. True power is shown through the mature Divine Masculine acts of mercy, integrity, honesty, and accountability.

Similar to the Soul Age theory (that there are young, mature, and old souls), we could say that there is also young, mature, and old energy. And Divine Masculine energy is still in its teenage years – and perhaps not even that.

So where does that leave Divine Feminine energy?

Divine Feminine: Out of the Shadows, Into the Light

Like Divine Masculine energy, Divine Feminine energy, has, up until now, been immature.

By hiding in the shadows and forgetting her own power, the domineering shadow side of the Divine Masculine has been permitted to get out of control. Who has been there to consistently put him in his place? It takes two to tango. Neither one is “more” responsible for the annihilation of the planet than the other. Both have an equal hand in their own way.

We can picture this scenario by observing two children squabbling in the backyard. One of them – the little boy – is throwing a tantrum. “THAT’S MINE,” the little boy thunders aggressively, trying to intimidate the little girl into giving back his favorite toy. “But you said I could play with it,” the little girl sobs, running back to mommy or daddy in tears.

She plays the victim. He plays the persecutor. It’s an age-old dance. And it needs to end.

We are getting to a pivotal turning point in history where something needs to change. Our world – the very survival of our species – depends on it. What is the solution?

The rise of the Divine Feminine.

We are seeing it more and more, with feminism, compassion for animals (resulting in more ethical eating choices), yoga, meditation, and even social media initiatives like the #metoo movement entering the mainstream.

But all things in life have a dark side. And we need to be aware of our shadow selves in order to move into the light.

The Shadow Side

With that being said, let’s break down the shadow side of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine:

The Light Side

Now, let’s look at the light side of the Feminine and Masculine energies. We could also call this the mature, fully-actualized Divine Feminine and Masculine:

You might notice that many of these traits are actually quite neutral, and here’s where words have a limit. All traits innate to the Divine Feminine and Masculine are neutral, it’s only when they come out of balance that they become an issue. Being compassionate, for example, is a Divine Feminine trait that can either be positive or negative depending on how it’s used. When there’s too much compassion, there is self-martyrdom and co-dependency, and when there’s too little, there’s cruelty.

So, in essence, the “light” side of the Divine Feminine and Masculine is really only another way of saying the balanced side.

Benefits of Awakening the Divine Feminine

She is so bright and glorious that you cannot look at her face or her garments for the splendor with which she shines. For she is terrible with the terror of the avenging lightning, and gentle with the goodness of the bright sun; and both her terror and her gentleness are incomprehensible to humans … But she is with everyone and in everyone, and so beautiful is her secret that no person can know the sweetness with which she sustains people, and spares them in inscrutable mercy.”

No matter what gender (or lack thereof) you are, here’s what you can expect to experience once you commit to awakening the Divine Feminine within you:

Enhanced intuition (higher perception)

Sharpened gut instincts (animal perception)

More flexibility and spontaneity

Greater self-compassion

Increased love and acceptance of others

Connection with the Creator within

More ability to enjoy the small things in life

Greater receptivity to yourself, others, and life

Increased ability to let go

Deeper comfort with the unknown and reduced anxiety

Heightened connection with your body and sensuality

Enhanced ability to relax, receive, and be

9 Ways to Awaken the Divine Feminine Within You

The deep Feminine, the mystery of consciousness, She who is life, is longing for our transformation as much as we are. She holds back, allowing us free reign to choose, nudging us occasionally with synchronicities, illness, births and deaths … But when we make space for Her, she rushes into all the gaps, engulfing us with her desire for life and expression. This is what She longs for, this is what we are for: experiencing the Feminine through ourselves. We simply need to slow down, and find where to put our conscious attention.

– Lucy H. Pearce, Burning Woman

To be whole and balanced beings, we need to honor both sides of our nature: the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine – also known in Jungian terms as the anima and animus. But now, more than ever, we are all being called to awaken the Shakti within.

Males need to get over their immaturity surrounding femininity, and females need to step more into their power. No matter whether you’re male, female, or non-binary/trans, it’s your responsibility to create change within yourself. For only when we change ourselves can true change in the world happen.

Pointing fingers at one gender or group as being “responsible” for all world’s ills, being “less than” the other type of energy, and so forth, is infantile. We need to grow up and stop feeding our lower nature. As Luna writes in her article on the Divine Masculine:

Don’t give fuel to your shadow self. Don’t perpetuate more division within this world. Learn how to awaken both types of energy within yourself in a healthy way.

So with that being said, here’s how to start this sacred inner work:

1. Connect with your inner Divine Mother

This might sound strange, but the reality is that we are composed of many subpersonalities. Psychiatrist Carl Jung called them “archetypes,” and more recently, psychotherapist Richard C. Schwartz (founder of Internal Family Systems) refers to them as “parts.”

The Mother is a universal part/archetype that can be found within all people of all genders. We see the Great Mother portrayed through the ages in numerous forms; as the Virgin Mary, Lakshmi, Isis, Sophia, Mother Nature, Kali – you name it.

So the question is, what does your inner Divine Mother look like? I recommend connecting with this part of you through practices such as journaling, drawing/painting, automatic writing, dream work, and mirror work. You might like to create or print out a picture that resembles your inner Divine Mother and put her somewhere important in your house. Let her inspire and remind you of the importance of honoring and connecting with the Divine Feminine.

2. Examine your wounds surrounding femininity

Examine the following questions:

What has society taught you about femininity as a male, female, or non-binary/trans?

How did your mother model her femininity and what did she teach you (whether directly or indirectly)?

What negative core beliefs might you have developed surrounding femininity?

What habits and behaviors do you bring into the world that indirectly or directly oppress the Divine Feminine?

Journal about these questions and do some self-reflection. Understanding how you truly feel about feminine energy – from all angles – is vital. Often we carry old programming that impedes our growth and maturation. The only way to move through these blocks is to see right through them.

For example, common negative conditioned beliefs include the notion that women should always be pretty, good at everything, never age, have a perfect body, be submissive to men, be meek and emotionally-restrained, and please everyone. (There are many other negative ideas out there – these are just a few common examples.)

However, your personal wounds might be totally different. For example, if you were raised with an engulfing helicopter mother, you might fear women and see them as fundamentally dangerous. If your mother was a manic-depressive, you might unconsciously perceive all women to be chaotic, unsafe, and unreliable. Try to examine both your personal and wider societal context.

3. Tune into your emotions

How are you feeling? If you were brought up in the West, you’ll have more masculine-dominated values. You tend to ask people, “How are you doing?” rather than “How are you feeling?” We need to shift away from that mindset. A person’s worth is not based on how much they do. In fact, a person’s worth isn’t externally-based at all. We need to start feeling things from the inside; to learn more about ourselves, to tune into our emotions. To learn how to show compassion by getting to know our authentic emotional landscape is to tap into the Divine Feminine.

So stop right now and ask yourself, “How am I feeling?” (If you struggle to label your emotions, search for “emotions chart” on Google images and print one out.) Are you feeling tired, moody, excited, intrigued, sad, nostalgic, disillusioned, surprised? Get into the habit of assigning a word to how you feel.

4. Cultivate your intuition

Intuition is a core Divine Feminine quality. Yet because so many of us live in our heads, we become disconnected from our hearts and souls (the source of our intuition). Sadly, the result is that most of us struggle to differentiate the voice of fear from intuition. Some of us even outright reject the value of intuition altogether!

To begin cultivating your intuition, try any of the following practices:

Begin meditating (this helps to silence your mind and allow intuitive flashes to emerge)

Experiment with oracle and tarot cards

Tune into your body through the practice of mindfulness

Learn to understand the meaning of your dreams

You can also read my article on how to trust your intuition for more guidance.

5. Find a feminine teacher/guide/figure you admire

We all need role models, and finding a mature and embodied woman is a powerful way of tuning into the Divine Feminine. Fortunately, there are many beautiful expressions of the Divine Feminine out there. You can begin your search in your friend or family circle, and extend it to authors, artists, historical and religious icons, and modern feminine figures. Once you’ve found someone (or a few teachers) you admire, put a picture of them somewhere special to honor the Divine Feminine.

Remember, the whole point of finding a feminine teacher/guide/figure that you admire is to learn from them. Please don’t idolize them or give away your power. Simply respect and appreciate them and make sure you integrate the lessons offered to you.

Also, if you find that there’s a male (or trans/non-binary individual) out there who reflects the Shakti energy in a healthy and respectful way, feel free to add them to your list of role models.

6. Slow down and be present

Masculine energy is all about do-do-do. But feminine energy is about being receptive, passive, and living in the moment. We don’t always need to achieve something. So make some time during the day to slow down and be present. Try to enjoy the little things and practice being grateful. You may even like to keep a gratitude journal – or if you’re into poetry, a place where you write poetry in appreciation of life’s small pleasures.

Slowing down, for instance, could be as simple as turning off your phone and going outside to enjoy the sunset. Or it could mean saying “no” to that extra task your colleague wants you to finish by Friday. While slowing down is difficult at first, keep at it. Your brain has likely been wired to be on the “doing” frequency all the time rather than in the being state of mind. So be forgiving and patient (other Divine Feminine qualities) and don’t give up. Even if slowing down needs to be scheduled into your day, make sure its a priority.

7. Practice self-love and inner child work

A crucial part of the spiritual path involves learning how to love yourself and healing your inner child. By learning how to love yourself, you are better equipped to show true compassion to others. What better ways to awaken the Divine Feminine within you?!

Self-love and inner child work go hand-in-hand, but before going too deep into inner child work, I recommend starting with self-love. Self-love is truly the foundation of all inner work because, without it, it’s possible to re-traumatize our already-wounded inner child.

To begin self-love, one of the most powerful practices is something called mirror work. Essentially, this practice involves standing in front of your household mirror every day and repeating loving words to yourself. These affirmations might include, “I see you,” “I value you,” “I forgive you,” “I’m here for you,” or whatever loving statement comes from your heart.

Read more about how to practice mirror work.

8. Connect more deeply with your body

The Divine Feminine is a sensual, visceral force that is at the heart of all life. She is the one who gives birth to existence, as well as tends and nurtures it: all very raw and instinctual processes.

To honor the yin energy within you, connect with your body. Learn its language. Discover more about what it means to be embodied in this life as a spiritual being. This might take many forms, for example:

Researching bodywork and breathwork

Learning the meaning behind your muscle tension

Practicing body-centered mindfulness

Exploring your sensual nature (honoring the pleasures of the body such as eating, sleeping, relaxing, and having sex)

Taking care of your basic bodily needs (getting good quality nutrition, water, sleep, digestion, etc.) by learning self-care

9. Honor, protect, and celebrate Mother Earth

As the physical embodiment of the Divine Feminine, the earth is our ultimate provider. She sustains us, protects us, and allows us to flourish. We are birthed within her, and we will die within her. And each and every day, she has endless reminders to share with us that reflect the Divinity, joy, beauty, and love inherent in life.

Connecting with Mother Earth is simple: go outside! Enjoy the trees, the wind, the clouds, the rain, the flowers, the sunshine, the soil – all of it. Be in a state of appreciation for her. But don’t let it stop there.

To truly honor Mother Earth is to respect her through our actions. By committing to a sustainable, low-waste, and ethical way of living, we are putting our head where our heart is. We don’t need to be perfect. We can’t be. But we can do our best, understanding that no matter how many mistakes we make, we are loved.

***

Ultimately, we all carry both the Divine Feminine and Masculine energies. But we’ve come to a point in history where we need to focus on cultivating the Shakti – the yin energy to balance the yang.

The snow is melting and small spring flowers are breaking through the earth after a deep slumber. It is important for every being to be rejuvenated and energized, and spring has this effect. This is also spring cleaning in your surrounding areas is important.

I have a spring cleaning every year. Too me this represents a new start and a new beginning. Things I don't need anymore gets reused or given to others who can enjoy them, since they no longer give me the feeling of rejuvenation.

So how can you spring clean yourself? Here are 6 tips to help start your spring cleaning now:

1. Start small. Go through your computer. Delete old Documents/Pictures/ Music etc you don't need to save space for new things you may want to save in the future.

2. Social Media. Are you on many sites at the same time, but rarely visit some of them? Get rid of your accounts on the ones you rarely use. This way you can spend your time and energy on the sites you want to hang on. Go through your friendslist on Facebook etc and delete people you never talk to, people who seem to only be stalking you and people who share stuff you maybe don't like.

3. Go through your clothes. A nice tip Oprah came with a few years ago on her show was that everytime you use a clothing material, you put in the closet the opposite way (the hanger). After a year, if the hanger hasn't been turned it means you haven't worn that clothing and you should get rid of it. I try to do this with clothes I rarely use. They just take up space for new clothes I would use.

4. Go through rooms by rooms. Are there stuff in the rooms you don't need or fancy anymore? Give it to someone else or toss it. This gives more energy to the remaining things that you value. This can include books, CD's , DvD's etc.

5. Clean the Outside. Having a nice place outside, wether it's the flowerbed, herb garden or just the outdoor space around your house will feel so much better if there are no form of dead leaves, garbage etc on it. It also makes you feel that spring has really arrived. Putting out the summer furniture (for outside use) will also give you the whole spring/summer energy.

6. Spring Clean Yourself. Find a sacred place, wether outside or in your house. Light candles and incence. Look at the flame of the candle and invision the smoke from the incense go around you, cleansing you of the winter that has been taken its toll. Feel that the energy of spring is coming into you, making you feel more energized and ready for summer.

Oh and PS!: Don't forget to clean walls, windows and the house in general. You can use a Spring Smudge Spray or essential oils to help boost the spring energy in your house!

And what about material things?

I have the last years figured out that material things don't mean as much as they used to do. When you are a child and a young adult you want everything you see and you have to have it. You are actually a little greedy. This means that over the years, you may have gathered up a lot of stuff that really even doesn't matter, but are just a lot of clutter making your home feel like a big energy draining place.

To me most material things doesn't matter anymore. It is the memories I make with my animals, family and friends that does. The little things in my life mean more to me and I think this is the reason I have been able to part with a lot of stuff during my spring cleaning the last few years.

Instead of buying stuff, see if you can make it yourself. If you have kids, wether your own or your siblings kids, make something with them. The memories and work put into it is so much better than getting something finished from the store. You can even alter it if you make it yourself to a way you want it. And just think of it; when the years go by, you can look back at the homemade stuff and remember how much fun it was to make it with Family. You won't be able to do so with stuff that is bought.

When you stop caring about material things, you also save money, because when you try to make the best out of moments instead of gathering things, you keep your money, which in a way makes the noney grow so you can use it on stuff that actually matters.

~ Regine Silverfox
